Cliffhangers galore

On this day in 2015, an international ban was drafted against internet memes involving pirates, ninjas, monkeys, robots, zombies, or raptor Jesus, in the hopes of spurring creativity amongst stagnating community websites such as www.iahwm.com ("I'm a Hippie with Money"--based on an Andy Griffith quote from the movie "Pray for the Wildcats"), www.lipbalmsworld.com, www.lolchinchillas.com, and www.gnarfgnarf.com.

New memes suggested by the ban draft included sumos, inventive facial hair styles, Liberace, beatniks, short-order cooks, and doctoring photographs of popular celebrities to make one of them look like a ventriloquist doll.

Also, Jimmy Jone #11 is up now.

Enjoy your sandwich...while you can

On this day in 2130, the phrase "the best thing since sliced bread" was officially retired from the English language. Despite--or, perhaps, because of--its everyday household use, there had long been no consensus on what was, indeed, the innovation wonderful enough to push sliced bread from the top spot.

That all changed when iMicroSony unveiled its new androids, which were so perfect in their execution that they could not be differentiated from real humans (yeah, it took us that long to get robots perfect, I know). The only behavioral difference that could be spotted was that the androids would pour oil into their right ears about once a day, and even this wasn't a surefire visual test--you see, ear-lubing had become the new heroin by about 2085.

The androids were very popular in Jewish circles. Horowitzes, Feinbergs, and Kleins were buying them up left and right. Having a non-human entity in the house was a handy way of getting things like cooking and cleaning done on Shabbat.

Of course, it was time for the "sliced bread" idiom to die, anyhow. After the French sided with the marauders from Xylon-6 in 2094, everybody stopped making fun of them. Largely because of that, we started to realize that their culture did have a lot to offer. Everybody switched to eating baguettes, and no one had eaten any sliced bread since the turn of the 22nd century.

By the way, Jimmy Jone #10 is up.

Guaranteed to make you throw up

Jimmy Jone #9 is NOW. Stuart gets assigned a project, and Jimmy and Ron go to the county fair. Stuart's professor in this issue is Dr. Edwin G. Hapford. Please also note that the comic reaches 100 pages with this issue, and I work in my first Back to the Future reference.

Megathrusters are go!

Part 2 of the 2-part Jimmy Jone story "Revenge and Beer" is up today. Not only does this issue introduce four new characters, it's also the longest issue I've done so far. Pictured above, Jimmy, Stuart, and Ron re-create a classic scene from the movie "Trading Places".

Notes for this issue:
Ron is not exaggerating. At College State University, there actually is a student-run channel that plays only Mr. Rogers all day long as part of an avant-garde senior art project.
Stuart visits quality websites.
Yes, I know that's not the zipcode for Curio, AZ.
The Ghostbusters II poster belongs to neither Jimmy nor Stuart. It was there when they moved in.

Issue #6 of Jimmy Jone the 9/10 Boy is now ready for your throbbing eyes. Remember when I said that this comic was about Jimmy going to college? In this issue, he finally attends his first day of classes at College State University.

Dr. Victor Stamback--Introduction to Psychology
Dr. Grace Roundtree--The Mad Scientist in Popular Culture
Scott Miller--Swimming (Beginning Level)
Dr. Stefan Jentsch--Robotics 101

Jimmy Jone Issue 5

I'm posting Jimmy Jone #5 a week early because I'm going to be in Delta Quadrant 18 for the next week, and they don't allow time buggies there. If I remember correctly, the Deltons got attacked by a race of aliens who had disguised themselves as buggies. The disguise was imperfect, however--any real buggy would have that one wheel that sticks or spins around wildly.

Anyways, check out the comic. Jimmy makes a friend. And so you know, today's update is a double-header: there's a new Raju deception up.

Issue 2 is here for you.

I feel compelled to report here that the second issue of Jimmy Jone is now available for your consideration. Though, really, that would imply that there are those of you out there who look solely to the blog for updates. Which would in turn imply that there are those of you who read the blog.

Jimmy Jone

Hello from the future. The post-weather here is fine.

I am Otto, and my role in building this website is...was...that is, will be...or, will have been (sorry, time travel always gives me tense-lag) creating the monthly comic, Jimmy Jone, the 9/10 boy. Now, "monthly" is not written in stone. As evidenced by Golo's previous post, the chrono-dialacron on our time buggy's htm-mail chute sticks sometimes (Rufus spilled some boysenberry post-preserves on it), so the actual rate of arrival might be a bit off now and then. Besides, Moses himself can attest to how well people follow rules written in stone.

Anyway, allow me to introduce you to Jimmy Jone. Jimmy, as you can see, has a slight cranial deficiency. But, as he will eventually see, having a brain that pokes out of your head can often be the least of your worries once you enter college.
That's all we are at liberty to say at the moment. Anything more and I would be in deep motor oil with the resistance leader. Like that time when I went back and told Judd Hirsch that he kxxssshhh on the foot qrkkkkksssssss Mumbasa gyyyyysssshxxxxk---
END OF TRANSMISSION
